LOVE YOUR PIANO LESSONS!
My name is Margaret and I teach piano and written theory in the Northwest part of Barrie. I teach kids as young as five and particularly enjoy teaching teens. My students usually follow the path of the Royal Conservatory of Music and many participate in the Kiwanis Music Festival.I think one of the things that makes me a good teacher is that I love to mix it up, laugh and have fun in my lessons. Right now kids are learning Christmas music along with their regular repertoire. We'll probably have a small Christmas Recital at a nursing home in December and then in the New Year we start preparing for Kiwanis. All year round most students choose to include up-to-date music like rock or pop. I have a huge selection of material to choose from in the pop and rock genres which teens often prefer.My schedule is quite flexible. I tailor each lesson specifically with the student in mind. I consider myself a very patient person and provide a comfortable family type atmosphere.I will discuss my fees over the telephone, Parents will pay in blocks of 10 - 20 lessons but missed lessons are made up during that week or at the end of the session. You never pay for missed classes. Parents may stay until both they and the student are comfortable with the lessons.Most of my new students have come to me by way of recommendation from other families. I can, of course, provide references. Please call me, Margaret, at 705-728-2205. The first visit is of course free as it gives us the chance to meet in person and find out if we "fit". After that we can see if our schedules will coordinate for a half hour lesson afterschool or on weekends. You do not make any long term commitments until you feel comfortable doing so. Thank you.
